Today was a nice little trip to the aerodrome, unfortunately, due to tyre issues, I left home as today’s star visitor, OO-PCK, a Pilatus PC-12, left. However, I still decided to go down and have a look at what was going on.
This afternoon’s traffic was surprisingly scarce, although I suppose many people (me included) would prefer to fly to the beach than the Midlands, even if the Midlands alternative does some of the best food out there, or indeed brave the Microlight Trade fair at Popham. It was also a lot busier this morning, and I did arrive very late so probably missed most of the aeroplanes. There were a few things around including my first Alpi Pioneer 200. Unfortunately, he didn’t backtrack and so I could not get his photo! My personal favourite today was G-TOLL, a Piper Arrow which has a lovely paint scheme and sounds lovely too! Although, I may have a slight soft spot for Arrows as the first plane I ever flew was one!
I think I will leave the subject of weather behind for this blog post, as if I say too much, old Murphy will come and bite us all!
This is what I saw today:
