It was incredibly warm today and what with it being the last day of my holiday, I figured I should go down to Turweston. G-AERV was lying a lot and was nice to see flying, not in the back of a hangar for once.

Most of the aircraft seen flew but some were still confined to the ground. G-OHAL provided a bit of Pietenpol action too, however, what really stole the show were the Alfa Romeo Giulia, BMW M3 and Mercedes C Class AMG that were bombing up and down the runway, and I should note that there was a large entourage with some pretty hefty video cameras, provoking many landings on the grass and many pilots to look at what is usually their turf being stained by a drifting M3. I can probably be safe to say it was a feature for something car related as they are all direct competition.

It may also be worth noting that G-AERV is the only flying Miles Whitney Straight in the world.

I have also noted that some people do not seem to be respecting me as a cyclist on our roads, and as a result am going to hand out a worst driver of the day award, and it goes to the twit driving that white 66 reg Ford Transit who seems to think that passing within 1.5 feet is safe. Please, do not be the idiot who does not give cyclists enough space. We aren’t animals!
