Vancouver is home to the world’s tallest control tower, not at YVR like you might expect, but an aerodrome that handles a mere quarter of a million passengers a year, has no runways, security fence and is serviced by nothing larger than a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter. For me, however, it is one of the best aerodromes in the world and is something truly special. It is Vancouver Harbour or CXH. CXH is a central city gem that has become a part of Vancouver and its lifestyle, and what’s more, Vancouver is, in my opinion, the nicest city in the world!
